Ray Despres brings depth of experience in operating management as well as management strategy consulting. He has led small companies in the metalworking and gourmet food industries, and has expertise in general management, finance, computer and quality systems, and shop-floor operations. As VP Operations and CFO of a $2 million startup he successfully introduced new products, expanded operations, and managed cash flow – culminating in a sale to a public company. As a consultant with Vertex Partners (now part of Braun Consulting), Ray led engagements to improve sales force compensation, develop decision support systems, and streamline contracting for Fortune 100 companies. As an independent consultant, he has assisted organizations in reducing costs through improved use of technology. Ray has a BA from Michigan State University, and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
